I had to post the photos because OU is going to take names! This is Bennie Owne's first team in 1905 at Oklahoma University!

My father was the eldest of 6 siblings. Jane Owen-Haynes was my grandmother and Bennie Owen's daughter. While I never remember meeting Bennie Owen, I cherish this photo my grandmother gave me. This is a photo of Jane Owen-Haynes, Bennie Owen and my father Benjamin Owen Haynes. This picture was taken in 1939.

OU Sooners vs Nebraska

Unbelievable first quarter of the OU - Nebraska game! I'm watching the game right now and it's OU 28 and Nebraska 0! This is just an amazing game!

Tonight I've started this blog because not only do I enjoy watching the OU Sooners play football, but I'm one of the many great grandchildren of the legendary OU Sooner coach Bennie Owen. I did a couple of searches tonight on "Bennie Owen" and realized there is .very little information about Bennie Owen! So during this season, I'm going to spend time adding content to this blog to share with all the die hard Sooner fans!
